Modern, but bohemian, incurably romantic, contrasting fabrics, Turkish-born, received the Top Shop New Generation Award four times
Bora is a Turkish Fashion Designer based in London. He graduated at Central Saint Martins in 2002, then set up his own fashion label. Straight he showcased his collections onto the London Fashion Week scene. His collection is stocked in Selfridges, Wolf & Badger and Liberty & Co in London, and across the world.
His style is very romantic. Texture rather than ornate decoration is his thing; fluid layers of bias-cut silk, chiffon and heavy cottons combined with leather or crocheted knit or lace. These contrasting fabrics often create an entirely modern but bohemian look. His colours come from nature cream, berry, leaf-green and every shade of brown.
"I think it's more about the feelings and the mood. I always link things with personal experiences, journeys, memories. Travelling is also great because it takes me to places that my vision is not used to therefore I can not take things for granted."
