33. Giambattista Valli

"A taste for the elaborate". Haute couture genius, usually inspired by strong women around him, he sees beauty in the ornamental.

Italian-French fashion designer who was born and raised Rome. He enrolled to a fashion school Istituto Europeo del Design of Rome in 1986 and later he went to St Martins in London. After returning to Italy, he worked in Roberto Capucci’s studio as an assistant and there Valli was introduced to haute couture. In 1990 the Fendi luxury brand called Valli to become the senior designer of their Fendissime collection. He launched his personal collection and in 2005, he held his debut solo exhibition in Paris, and his eponymous label was born, today being present in circa 40 countries all over the world.
