37. Giorgio Armani

Giorgio Armani is a fashion designer, born in 1934 in the small Italian town of Piacenza. He started his career as a window dresser in Milan. Famous for his clean, tailored menswear, he established his company in 1975. Currently, his fashion empire includes haute couture, ready-to-wear, leather goods and shoes, accessories, cosmetics and home interiors under several brand names: Armani Prive, Giorgio Armani, and Emporio Armani to name a few. Giorgio is also collaborating with a chain of luxury hotels worldwide. He is the most successful Italian designer in terms of annual turnover.
