Timeless creations which are feminine and elegant with a twist

Marios Schwab is a Greek-Austrian designer born in 1977 in Athens. He studied hand-sewing techniques in Salzburg then he continued at Esmod in Berlin from which he graduated with distinction. In London he earned an MA at Central Saint Martins under the guidance of Louise Wilson. In 2005 he launched his own label. Schwab won the prize for Best New Designer at the British Fashion Awards in 2006 and the Swiss Textiles Award in 2007. He uses jacquards, velvets, and other rich materials, mixing fabrics to emphasize the female form. His bold, highly structured creations are sometimes inspired by gothic and pornographic images and often have a hard, sexual edge.
