Hip and edgy, Preen's target market is from late teens to early 30's
Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi’s line, Preen was founded in 1996 by Thornton Bregazzi. It is internationally celebrated for its polished, punk-inspired style. Their considered selection of fabric and print results in striking, innovative creations. Their design influence spans not only decades but centuries - from early Briton, to Victorian to punk trash. A proponent of deconstruction and reconstruction of garments, the duo would rather call it "recycling," an idea that goes back when Justin Thornton was a graduate student working for Helen Storey. The duo is known for their use of antique fabric - battered leather, lace, tulle, glazed cotton, mixed with vintage trims - old jewellery, buttons, etc.
